Cardiff City Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Kieffer Moore.

The Welsh international forward has signed a three-year deal at Cardiff City Stadium, and joins from Wigan Athletic for an undisclosed fee.

Kieffer spent one season in Greater Manchester after impressing during an eighteen month spell with Barnsley. He made 36 league appearances and scored ten times in the Championship for Wigan in 2019/20.

Torquay-born, Moore is eligible to play for Wales through his maternal grandfather - and has earned five caps so far since making his debut in September 2019. The 28-year old has two international goals to date, netting against Slovakia and Azerbaijan in the successful UEFA Euro 2020 qualification campaign.

KIEFFER'S FIRST INTERVIEW AS A BLUEBIRD

Speaking after signing at Cardiff City Stadium, our newest Bluebird Kieffer said: "The interest has been there for some time. I'm thrilled to get this over the line.

"I've spoken to the manager and his desire is to get promoted to the Premier League and that is something I share.

"The fans were a deciding factor for me. I know I'm going to play really good football here. The game really suits me. To have the backing from the fans straight away is amazing.

"I'm looking forward to meeting all the boys and getting started."

Cardiff City boss Neil Harris added: "I'm delighted to finally get him here. It is no secret that we tracked him in January but it wasn't possible at the time. Obviously he came here and scored two goals a few weeks later.

"We had to really fight off some competition to get him in, so I'd like to thank Tan Sri Vincent, Mehmet Dalman and Ken Choo for their support in making this happen.

"Kieffer is a quality striker at this level. Our fans are fully aware of his ability - after that game and his appearances in the Welsh shirt.

"We're very pleased to get him on board."
