Perry Ng spoke to Cardiff City TV after the Bluebirds concluded their pre-season preparations against Wycombe Wanderers at Adams Park.
"I think it was a good test today, before the real stuff happens next week." Perry began. "It was a tough pitch, but I think we played some good football at times, and I think we're ready.
"They're always solid, Wycombe, when you come here. We still need to work on a little bit, but we look positive going into the season.
"It's going to be a tough season, with some very good clubs. But, this is the most excited I've been since I've been at Cardiff, so I can't wait to get going now."
Perry spoke of the tactical tweaks made to the full-back positions by Erol Bulut, and also commented on the added quality that has been brought into the squad.
Of his role at right back, Perry said: "I'm enjoying it. He wants us to come inside a lot more, which is good, and it gives the winger a lot more space. I think I can get involved in the play a little bit more. It will create a lot more opportunities in the box.
The signings we've brought in have been fantastic - I'm really excited to see them - and with our new little rotations, it will create more going forward."
And ending with a mention of his defensive partner, Dimitrios Goutas, Perry concluded: "Dimi is class - I like him a lot. I think he is a very good signing, and he was probably our best player today. I'm excited to have him next to me."
