Ryan Wintle spoke to the press after Cardiff City’s 1-0 win over Huddersfield Town on Wednesday night.
Victory at Cardiff City Stadium now means it’s three wins in a row for the Bluebirds, as Wintle hailed the ever-growing belief amongst the team.
“I think we have gained a lot of confidence quickly.” Ryan began. “Obviously, you don’t think confidence has dropped, but you can see within the squad that everyone believes in each other.
"People who have been out injured and are coming back, and it boosts the squad. We’re all fighting now and hopefully we can keep on winning.
“Sometimes things just click. Earlier on in the season when we won four or five in a row, people were asking the same questions then of how everything was coming together. As players, it doesn’t really feel any different.
"Every day, we do our job and hopefully come out with the three points. We’ve been doing it again and long may it continue.”
The winning goal came through January signing Famara Diédhiou, his first for the club, with Ryan praising the striker's impact since joining City.
“Famara works really hard. All the strikers do and I’m glad he’s got his goal tonight. He’s a great lad and I’m buzzing for him.
“He’s a bit of a character in the dressing room. He hasn’t been here long, but it feels like he’s been here for about three years! So it’s good to have him and thankfully he scored tonight.”
With the end of the season on the horizon, Wints is hoping he and his teammates can keep the good times rolling and end the campaign as high in the table as possible.
He concluded: “We all said it a few weeks ago - we didn’t want this season to peter out and us having a boring end to the season.
"The last couple of seasons have been horrible, trying to stay in the division, but this season we’re looking up. It’s seven points until the Play-Offs, and the Championship is a crazy league.
“If we just keep winning, then you never know where we’ll end up. Let’s just hope that we continue to do that."
