Warnock pre-Hull City: We want to go on a run
Positivity was key for Neil Warnock as he held a press conference ahead of the Bluebirds’ weekend trip to Hull City.
Speaking at City’s Vale Resort training base, the Gaffer eyed a continuation of the Bluebirds’ five-match unbeaten run.
“It can go both ways,” he began. “But we want to go on a run [of unbeaten games], especially a long run.
“We are three points off the Play-Offs and five behind the leaders, so we know how close the league is. We’d like to be pushing towards that top end of the table and the Play-Offs.
“We’ve got to get more goals from all areas though. We are working hard in training on that, but it’s doing it on a Saturday that matters.
“We are up there in the top two or three regarding chances created, but you’ve got to take more of them.”

Neil revealed that Marlon Pack and Sol Bamba are approaching a return to first-team contention, but explained: “We’re trying to do it properly and I will listen to what the physios have to say.
"You do tend to want to tush people back, but then you regret it. We’ve got to try to eliminate any injury recurrence.”
Finally, he went on to assess the challenge that the Tigers may pose at the KCOM Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
“They’re well organised,” added the Gaffer. “And probably have the best two wide men in the league. Most would want those two if they could afford them.
“They’ve got midfield players who can score too. We know what threat they have, so we need to come up with answers and create chances for ourselves.”
