U23 Match Preview: Coventry City vs. Cardiff City
Cardiff City’s U23 side face Coventry City U23 for the second time in two weeks in the Professional Development League at The Alan Higgs Centre on Monday, January 20th – 1pm kick-off.
The Opposition
In the Professional Development League Group South standings, Coventry City are third having accumulated 29 points from their nine wins, two draws and three losses to date in 2019/20.
Second place was where Monday’s host’s concluded last season and they had 16 more points than they currently have, having competed in 14 more matches.
The Sky Blues have netted 24 goals and conceded 17 in the Professional Development League so far this campaign and 29-year-old Max Biamou is their top scorer with eight goals.
In the Hot Seat
Coventry City’s U23 Head Coach is Luke Tisdale and the now 29-year-old joined in July 2012 as Youth Development Coach, before progressing to his current role seven years later.
Before life with The Sky Blues, Tisdale also held a coaching role at Walsall for a single season and then became an Academy Coach at Oxford United, where he was in charge for three campaigns.
