U21 | Swansea City 0-1 Cardiff City
City's U21s continued their momentum, claiming a 1-0 victory over Swansea City on Monday evening.
A first half goal from striker Michael Reindorf was enough to claim all three points in another positive performance.
The Bluebirds are now one point behind league leaders Charlton Athletic, with two games in hand.
Reaction | Matthew Bloxham
After the full-time whistle, Matthew Bloxham said: "The boys can be immensely proud of how they conducted themselves and moved the ball in the first half. In the second half, there's a lot to take away from it in terms of what we want to do and how we want to be better moving forward with the ball. Defensively, we showed a lot of character and resilience, whilst creating chances to put the game to bed.
"The squad is in a really good place, because there is competition for places and a need to perfom. With all the boys returning from injuries, like Morgan Wigley, Troy Perrett, Dylan Lawlor and Cole Fleming, that's only going to make us stronger. They'll have to earn their place in the team and stay in the team. We know it's a squad game and we can trust those players coming on to finish the game strongly for us.
"There are a lot of games to come and a number of the boys will go on international camps in the next few weeks, so there's plenty of football to be played. The thing for us is to maintain what we've been doing in terms of our non-negotiables, but also improve on our performance week-by-week and as we trust the process more, we're going to get better."
