Cardiff City's U21 side are back in action against Reading on Monday afternoon - kick-off at 2pm.
The young Bluebirds are set to face the Royals for the fourth time this season, following previous meetings in both the PDL and Premier League Cup.
From the three previous outings against Reading, City have come away the victors in two, with the most recent encounter resulting in a 1-0 win for the Bluebirds in November 2022.
Hosting our opponents at Cardiff International Sports Stadium, Morgan Wigley's goal proved the difference between the two sides as City claimed an important cup victory in the group stage of the competition.
Cardiff City and Reading are currently level on points on the PDL South table, with 31 points earned so far in the league campaign. The Royals have won three of their five most recent fixtures, winning three matches in a row from meetings with Ipswich Town, Charlton Athletic and Bristol City.
However, on February 27th their winning run came to an end against PDL South leaders Millwall, as the Lions took all three points in a 2-1 victory in London.
With all of our previous meetings with the Royals being tightly fought so far this season, Monday afternoon's battle for third place on the league table is set to be another competitive fixture, and another good challenge for the Bluebirds away from home.
