City's U21s are in PDL action on Friday, facing Sheffield United.

The side head into the fixture on the back of an impressive 1-0 victory over Brentford last time out, in which Tanatswa Nyakuhwa got on the scoresheet.

Ahead of the clash, U21 head coach Darren Purse said: “Having travelled to Ipswich and getting back early in the morning, and then preparing straight away for the MG Cup game against Merthyr Town, and then into this away game at Brentford, the games don't stop. 

"We’ve got Sheffield United now on Friday before another midweek, weekend schedule. If there’s ever a block of games that prepares this U21 squad for Championship football, this is it.

"It’s been a hectic schedule, but it’s great experience for those coming in, and the boys are producing some top performances."
