Reaction | Darren Purse
Darren Purse spoke to Cardiff City TV after the full-time whistle and said: "I'm delighted with the clean sheet because I thought the boys deserved it. They put their bodies on the line, especially in the last 15-20 minutes, where our backs were against the wall.
"I'm delighted to get the win, especially for the youngsters stepping up, because it was a great experience for them."
Match Summary
Second half goals from Morgan Wigley and Baylin Johnson were enough to secure all three points for the young Bluebirds at Cardiff City Stadium on Monday.
Tanatswa Nyakuhwa came closest to scoring in the first half, forcing Fleetwood keeper Luke Hewiston to push his strike behind for a corner in what was otherwise a tightly fought opening 45 minutes.
However, through some changes made at half time, the game opened up and Wigley was on the end of a well-worked move from the home side, blasting the ball into the net via the underside of the bar.
Wigley was involved again down the right-hand side, and his teasing ball into the area was met at the back post by Johnson, opening his account for the club.
The final 15 minutes saw a flurry of set pieces for the away side who increased the pressure on the defence, but Purse's side stood strong to hold onto the clean sheet and secure all three points.

Pre-Match | Darren Purse
Ahead of the fixture, Darren Purse previewed our meeting with Fleetwood Town.
"It's an opportunity to put right the wrongs from the Sheffield Wednesday fixture. The team will be dependant on what the First Team Manager is deciding to do with regards to his fixtures around then, but if we have to work with a younger side against Fleetwood Town then it's a chance to build on our last game and make up for any previous shortcomings.
"We can make up for previous mistakes and move on, which is what development is all about."
