City's U21 side defeated Swansea City on Tuesday afternoon.
Tanatswa Nyakuhwa's brace proved the difference in Leckwith, putting City ahead twice as the young Bluebirds secured all three points against the Swans.
The hosts enjoyed a perfect start to the fixture as City fired ahead with fewer than two minutes played. Isaac Jefferies burst down the right wing before cutting out a tremendous arched cross towards Nyakuhwa at the far post, who headed home freely.
Having taken an early lead, City were pulled back 15 minutes later, as Maliq Cadogan brought his side level once again. Receiving the ball inside the area, the forward finished neatly past Luke Armstrong, who couldn't quite get a hand of the effort at close range.
The hosts had to temper good pressure from their opponents in the ensuing minutes, as the Swans looked to gather momentum and take the lead themselves. Sebastian Dabrowski came closest for the visitors, though his shot went well wide.
Utilising wide spaces, City created half chances before the break through Tanatswa and Will Spiers, though they saw their efforts blocked.
Starting the second half similarly to the first, City forced themselves into the lead once again within five minutes of the interval, as Nyakuhwa bagged his second. Dylan Lawlor picked out the forward with a fantastic through ball down the middle, which Tanatswa took in his stride as he rounded Kit Margetson between the sticks.
The visitors were held thereafter by the young Bluebirds, aside from Armstrong making a terrific fingertip save to deny Josh Pescatore, as the 'keeper did just enough to push a shot over his crossbar with 20 minutes remaining.
Holding on until the final whistle was blown, City showed grit to win all three points and defeat the Swans following a determined performance in the Welsh capital.
