Cardiff City's U18 side head to Hertfordshire to face the Hornets on Saturday afternoon - 1pm KO.
The young Bluebirds will look to build upon their impressive PDL form this weekend, having most recently defeating Swansea City at home last time out.
Kyle Kenniford's opener from the penalty spot was complimented by Cody Twose's injury time goal against the Swans, as City held on to take all three points, keeping a clean sheet in the process.
Watford's U18 have won one of their opening four league fixtures so far this season, with their sole victory of the term thus far coming against Wigan Athletic at the end of August. Since then, defeats against Coventry City and Reading have followed, leaving the young Hornets in ninth place on the PDL South league table.
Ahead of Saturday's fixture, U18s Manager Steve Jenkins discussed the return to training in preparation for another test on the road:
"We've had a good week preparing for the weekend," began Steve. "We've had a few players away during the international break, which is good for them and for the boys who've stepped in and of course want to play at this level.
"With the boys who have trained this week, it will give them the opportunity to now step up and be counted in a proper match against Watford.
"Of course not everybody in the squad can play at once, but it will be good to get a slightly different group of players in a competitive environment, and hopefully we can continue with our form as we have done over the last few weeks."
