Cardiff City’s U18 team host Millwall U18 in the Professional Development League at Cardiff International Sports Stadium on Saturday, January 11th – 12pm kick-off and free entry!
The Opposition
Millwall currently sit top of the Professional Development League Group South standings, with 34 points and a record of 11 wins, one draw and three losses.
Last season, the Lions finished third in the Group South table, nine points behind the first place Bluebirds, who progressed to the Professional Development League Final.
Saturday’s visitors have scored an impressive 49 goals in 2019/20 to date, conceding 17 and have had 11 different scorers.
Top scorer Sean O’Brien has netted 11 goals this season so far and he is closely followed by Abdul Abdulmalik, who has struck ten.

Larry McAvoy and former professional footballer Chris Perry share the role of Millwall’s Lead U18 Coach.
McAvoy has been with the Millwall Academy for over a decade and worked his way up from coaching the U9 team to the U18 squad, who he has been with since June 2015.
46-year-old Perry is in his fourth full year with the Lions and had an impressive playing career, featuring for AFC Wimbledon, Tottenham Hotspur, Charlton Athletic, West Bromwich Albion, Luton Town and Southampton.
