U18 Match Preview | Cardiff City vs. Colchester United

City’s U18 side host Colchester United at Cardiff International Sports Stadium in the Professional Development League on Saturday, with kick-off at 1pm.
It is the Bluebirds’ first fixture in three weeks and they will be looking to pick up a victory win against a strong side, who also last played on February 5th, upon return to action.
The teams have met once so far this season in what was a thriller at the Wallace Binder Ground in September 2021. The game finished 3-3 with James Crole, Caleb Hughes and Rhys Schwank brilliantly netting for City.
Cardiff City sit third in the Professional Development League Group South standings, with Colchester in sixth, but only four points separate the two teams, and so a hard-fought contest is expected in the Welsh capital.
