City's U18s are in PDL action on Saturday morning, taking on Sheffield Wednesday.
The fixture will take place at Middlewood Training Ground on March 29th, with a kick-off time of 11am.

PRE-MATCH | TOM HUTTON
Ahead of the fixture, U18 manager Tom Hutton said: “We had a lot of boys away with their countries and they played from U17s all the way up to U21s, and that’s always pleasing for us as an academy to see players that are capable of representing their countries. It’s always an enriching experience for the boys. They’ve all done well, but now they’ve come back looking fresh and are ready for the game this weekend.
“When you’re a coach in development football, like players, you want to develop and try to play against and manage against the highest level possible and better yourself off the back of it. Watching international players can also give you a different perspective as well in terms of where they are and what they’re doing at youth level. The Wales setup is a really good environment to be a part of and it’s always brilliant to manage and coach against some of the best players in the world at their age level.
“We’re excited heading into this final stretch of the season. Every game matters now and we’re of course always focused on getting a good result. However, in terms of the way we’re looking at the moment, the landscape of our group is changing. We’re getting younger now and we’re using more U16 and U17 players, and we want to utilise them as much as we can so we can best prepare them for next year. As a result, you have to adjust your level of expectation a little because there will always be an adaptation period for some of the players, but that’s why you want to get the process started early.
“Sheffield Wednesday will be another strong team. You always know you’re going to have a challenging game when you go up north, and it’s one will be prepare for accordingly. We’ve always had challenging games against Sheffield Wednesday, so we know where their strengths are and also know where we can try and expose them to try and get a positive performance and result from the game.”
