Cardiff City's U18 side travel to face AFC Bournemouth in the PDL Cup on Saturday - 12pm KO.

“Playing in the cup brings about a different challenge. The U21s are playing on the same day as us and the U16s, so there have been obvious challenges that we’ve had to prepare for during the week.

“We will try and prepare accordingly, and we’ve reflected on our performance last week against QPR and in which areas of the pitch we could be better. This has been an intense period of games with a lot of Saturday, Tuesday fixtures, and we’ve had a small group for those games. 

“It’s a credit to the boys that they’ve performed so well during this run, and we always have a long-term view with how the boys are performing and developing. Hopefully against Bournemouth on Saturday, it will be another step in the right direction.”
