Goalkeeper Corey Foggarty has joined Cardiff City's U18 side, signing as a First Year Scholar for the young Bluebirds.
The young shot stopper moves to the Welsh capital from Cambrian & Clydach Vale BGC, where he has impressed and recently progressed to the Cymru League South's senior outfit despite his age.

Discussing the newest addition to the U18 side, Academy Manager Gavin Chesterfield said: "First of all, Corey is a credit to himself and his family. He's adapted to life as a scholarship footballer really well. He's been on the radar for a while, and his performances for Cambrian have really impressed, so we're delighted to have him.
"He's really what we're looking for in a young goalkeeper, and we feel that he can develop now under the goalkeeping tutelage that he'll receive by being with us.
"The Rhondda is a football hotbed, and our recruitment begins in the centre of Cardiff and covers these surrounding areas. It's great to get somebody from such a local area into our scholarship programme, and we look forward to continuing Corey's development."
Welcome to Cardiff City, Corey!
