U18 | City welcome 12 new apprentices

After a positive 2023/24 campaign for City's U18s, head coach Tom Hutton will welcome twelve new additions to his squad ahead of the upcoming season.

The young Bluebirds have returned to training at our Academy base in Llanrumney and are preparing for their pre-season fixtures.

As part of the U18s setup, the following players have agreed two-year apprenticeship deals with the Bluebirds:

Goalkeepers: Sam Jones, Daniel Higgs
Defence: Oliver Reynolds, Ollie Walsh, Noah Williams, T-Jay Parfitt
Midfield: Harry Watts, Jacob Hobson, Hayden Allmark
Attackers: Mannie Barton, Leeyon Phelan, Riley Hilaire-Clarke

Speaking about our signings, Tom Hutton said: “We’re delighted to welcome the lads to the U18s as they begin their journey as young scholars and as an Academy we are really excited about what the group can achieve both individually and collectively.

"Work has already begun in pre-season to ensure that they will be ready to face the challenges of U18 football.

"The two year scholarship is a really important part of a young players development and we’ll be working hard, as will they, to make sure they are focussed on improvement every day, whilst continually raising standards to help each player reach their potential.”
