Defender Tom Davies has this week put pen to paper on a professional contract with Cardiff City FC.
17-year-old Davies' new deal will see him remain with the Club until June 2024.
The young defender has impressed whilst playing for City's Academy during the current campaign, having made appearances for both the U18 and U23 sides.
He also earned his first start for the first team in August, featuring for the full 90 minutes against Sutton United in a Carabao Cup victory at CCS.
Speaking after signing his new contract, Tom said: "I'm delighted to have signed my first professional contract with Cardiff City.
"It's my local club and one that I've supported my whole life so it's a big achievement for me. I've loved every minute of my time here, including having made the step up for my first team debut.
"I'm determined to push on from here. I know that there is a pathway into the first team from where I am currently, and that the hard work continues for me to meet my goals."
Academy Head of Coaching David Hughes added: "Tom is a Cardiff City Season Ticket holder, and clearly understands what it means to represent his hometown club.
"Since [Academy scout] Jason Matthews identified Tom, his attitude and commitment to learn and develop alongside the coaching and support team has been outstanding.
"Tom emphasises the key attributes required, crucially an outstanding level of application to seek progress in his performances, which is why we believe he can make the transition into our first team in the future."
