Ollie Tanner spoke to the press ahead of Saturday’s clash with Queens Park Rangers in the Sky Bet Championship.
The winger made his return from injury last time out, coming on as a second half substitute against Sheffield Wednesday.
“It was my first long-term injury, so it was tough, but lovely to be back,” Ollie began. “It was a frustrating result; I thought the boys were brilliant for the first 60 minutes or so, then to concede a set-piece goal was disappointing. We tried to get the winner, but it wasn’t meant to be.
“Being out injured was tough. I can’t really put it into words. You feel a bit isolated, you try and do things with the boys, but you’re training and in the gym on your own, so it’s a tough experience. But it’s a part of the game - you’re not going to be fit for every game.
“The boys are playing well. Isaak Davies, I’m buzzing for him to score. After his injury, I said to him that I take my hat off to him. He stayed strong and to have had the comeback he has had, it’s lovely to see him playing well. The competition for places is only a good thing, especially in the position we’re in at the minute. You need everyone firing.”

Queens Park Rangers faced Stoke City in their last fixture, falling to a 3-1 defeat, which sees them currently sit 15th in the table.
Ollie continued: “We go into every game thinking we can win. I don’t think there’s ever been a game where we have gone into it thinking we’re going for a draw or we don’t think we can win. You see it with results all the time in the Championship, anyone can beat anyone.
"We don’t go into games scared of anyone or worrying about what they do; it’s about what we do, and if we do what we do right then we can give anyone a game and take three points off anyone.”

City have picked up four points in the last two fixtures, having recorded a win at Blackburn Rovers before the international break, prior to the draw against the Owls last weekend.
"We’ve got to find a way,” Ollie added. “To be honest, it doesn’t really matter what anyone else does, we’ve got teams that are around us and if we win our games from now until the end of the season and get results, then we’ll stay up.
“I’m sure we’ll do that because we’ve got a more than good enough group and we shouldn’t be where we are, but we are so we’ve got the job at hand now.”
