South Wales derby press | Tanner & Robinson
City subsTitutes Ollie Tanner and Callum Robinson spoke to Sky immediately after the South Wales derby.
The two attackers combined for City's leveller in the 79th minute.
"It's a massive goal," Callum began. "You don't want to come here and lose the game.
"We wanted to win, of course, but to come here and get at least a draw was important.
"Every week subs are important. Our coach Riz [Omer Riza] said it in the meeting beforehand. It isn't just those starting. We need everyone to be ready to make an impact on this match.
"We came on and made a difference."
While celebrating the equaliser, Tanner took a blow to the shin, resulting in a large gash.
Ollie continued: "I'll take it if it means we score a goal. When you come on you want to make a change. I thought we both did that.
"We said it before the game today that we've lost two and we had to get something. There is no bigger game to us than this one.
"Hopefully we can kick on now."
Goal-scorer Robinson started the campaign in the XI, but after a knock has been on the bench in recent weeks.
Discussing the importance of this fixture, he concluded: "From the management to the staff, players and fans, this game means so much to us. I probably didn't realise how big it was until I came here.
"I was glad to make my mark in a positive way today."
