Having played a massive part in City's dramatic win over Ipswich Town, Ryan Wintle was presented the Sky Sports Man of the Match by fellow goalscorer Callum O'Dowda.
Heading into injury time behind, the Bluebirds showed great character to equalise through Wintle, before O'Dowda found a late winner.
Man of the Match Wintle said: “We always say that we have to believe in ourselves and in the last few weeks, we’ve done that and that’s why we’ve turned our results around. We’ve had players come back from injury and that’s helped, so we’re buzzing.
“You can never rule out anything in this league and if we keep winning, maybe we can get into the Play-Offs. The fans are turning up and let’s just keep performing."
O'Dowda, who recently returned from a long-term injury, netted a second for City, turning home from close-range in the last play of the contest.
"It’s an unbelievable feeling," the match-winner added. "In the last ten games, we’ve really kicked on. It’s looking good, but we just need to continue.
“When you’re in those types of games, being at home as well and being able to hear the fans, it can cause a bit of intimidation, but I’m really happy."
Next up for the Bluebirds is the South Wales derby against Swansea City at the Swansea.com Stadium next Saturday, 12.30pm KO.
Ryan concluded: “The last few years haven’t been very good in the derby, but it’s rocking in here with the fans now and they can see that the momentum has shifted. We just want to make sure that next week, like today, we get three points."
