30. CIARON BROWN

DOB: 14/01/1998
NATIONALITY: English
POSITION: Centre-back
OTHER CLUBS: Wealdstone, Livingston (loan)

It takes a strong defender to learn their trade in the National League North, but that’s exactly what Ciaron Brown did with Wealdstone as a youngster. The central defender, who can also cover at left-back, made over 50 appearances for the Stones before making the step up and move to South Wales in January 2018 after gaining huge plaudits as non-league level.

Ciaron spent the second half of the 2018/19 season on loan with SPL side Livingston, making five first team appearances. He has since appeared for the Bluebirds throughout their American tour, and also during the pre-season home match against OGC Nice – keeping new Newcastle winger Allan Saint-Maximin quiet in the 1-0 City win.

We’re delighted to reveal that Ciaron has this week agreed a new two-year deal with the Club.

32. CAMERON COXE

DOB: 18/12/1998
NATIONALITY: Welsh
POSITION: Right-back
PLACE OF BIRTH: Merthyr

Cameron Coxe made his first team debut for the Bluebirds in this competition in 2017 - standing out at CCS against Burton Albion.

The Merthyr-born right-back is a Welsh youth international and has been selected for the upcoming Wales U21 UEFA European Qualifying matches against Belgium & Germany.

Speaking at the end of the 2018/19 season, Cameron, who has been with Cardiff City since he was seven years-old, said: “We all want to progress as individuals as well as a team. I want to push on and hopefully try and get some First Team involvement.”

34. JAMES WAITE

DOB: 11/05/1999
NATIONALITY: Welsh
POSITION: Creative Midfielder
OTHER CLUBS: Hereford (loan)

Young midfielder James Waite enjoyed a positive pre-season campaign. The 20-year-old travelled with our first team squad to North America for their pre-season tour and has also impressed at U23 level.

Waite played largely as a No.10 for the U23 side over the pre-season campaign – and showed the technique needed for that shirt against K.V. Kortrijk on Friday, August 2nd, lifting the ball over the KVK goalkeeper and into the top corner of the net from an improbable angle.

“My main goal is for a positive season – to score as many goals and create as many goals as possible and to work hard for myself and the team.”

35. SHAMAR MOORE

DOB: 17/01/2001
NATIONALITY: English
POSITION: Forward
OTHER CLUBS: Reading

Shamar is a centre-forward, who joined City permanently from Reading in the summer of 2019.

He has started the season strongly with Andy Legg’s side, netting once in two competitive matches to date.

A number of City fans will have already seen Shamar in action, as the impressive forward played the opening 45 minutes of our pre-season opener at Taff’s Well, attended by well over 2,000 City fans.

36. TAVIO KOUAKOU d’ALMEIDA

DOB: 11/12/2000
NATIONALITY: Ivorian
POSITION: Midfielder
