Siopis pre-Norwich City | I expect us to give everything
Ahead of Saturday’s trip to Carrow Road, Manolis Siopis spoke to the press at CCS.
The midfielder began by discussing City’s recent results, with the Bluebirds now looking to return to winning ways against the Canaries.
“The results are not what we want, it’s true,” said Sio. “But at the moment we’re trying to be positive because we have so many games, and we want to take wins to better our position in the league.
“We’ve created chances, but as you know in football it’s the details, and we’ve not scored from the chances. Against Preston we played amazing football to start, but we didn’t win because we couldn’t score.
“Now we will go up against Norwich, and I don’t know how many chances we’ll have, but we must score, because the other teams are scoring from their against us, taking the game.
“I expect from our team that we will go and give everything to take the three points. Nothing else.”
Continuing, City’s number 23 shared his expectations from Saturday’s fixture and recalled our last meeting with Norwich City, who currently occupy seventh place on the league table.
“I expect that Norwich City will want to have ball possession,” he explained. “They have quality players and we know that they’ll want to use small passes to make their attack. It will be a difficult game, but I think we will be ready to take the win and be back in this way.
“When they scored first, we took it back to them and made it two-one. Our first half was very good, both in defence and in attack.
“In the second half, after 15 minutes they changed the plan and put everything in attack, which caused us problems and they took the three points. I feel that on Saturday it could be totally different. We have that confidence going into every game.”
