Siopis pre-Hull City | We will give everything
Manolis Siopis spoke to the press ahead of our Sky Bet Championship clash against Hull City on Saturday afternoon.
The Bluebirds head into this weekend on the back of a 2-1 victory over Coventry City last time out, which was City’s fifth win in the last seven matches.
“It was a very good win. I think it is good for our psychology," Sio began. "We know it’s difficult to catch the teams that are going for the Play-Offs, but we will give everything to try to be there.
“We play to win and we always give everything. Before I came here, I didn’t know the squad, but from the moment I came, we played some very good games.
“When we go and play our game, even when Coventry scored, we had chances and in the first half, I think we could have scored more than them, but it was a good win for us.”
During this season, players from our U21 squad have gained First Team training experience, with Cian Ashford particularly catching an eye.
The playmaker made his senior debut earlier this season in the EFL Cup against Colchester United.
Sio continued: “I like Ash a lot. He takes the ball and he is not afraid, he has confidence. I like him a lot."
Saturday's opponents currently sit tenth in the Sky Bet Championship table, but are winless in their last six fixtures.
“They will have ball possession, they like these small passes," Sio added. "They want to have control in the game. It’s similar like the game against Ipswich. If we are good in our plan, I think we don’t have a problem. We will see.
“I think they have from the middle and in front, attacking players who all have quality. It will be a tough game, but all the players will give our best to try and get the three points."
