Siopis post-Ipswich Town | We pushed until the end

Manolis Siopis celebrates
Following City's dramatic victory over the Tractor Boys on Saturday afternoon, Manolis Siopis spoke to Cardiff City TV.

The Greek international played throughout the entire fixture as the Bluebirds scored two injury time goals to secure three points at full time, and was full of praise for his teammates following the final whistle.

“Today it was a very good performance from all of the guys, from the first minute until the end," Sio began. "The good thing is when Ipswich scored, we didn’t stop, then after we scored our first we didn’t either.

"We kept pushing and playing, and we won the three points for us and the fans. We take it and get to enjoy it, and then we look forward.

“We were focussed and wanted it all. We won the game and deserved it with this performance. All the guys did an amazing job, and you see this happen a lot in this league. It’s a crazy league, and until the end we pushed, and scored."

Looking ahead towards the tail end of the campaign, Manolis shared his thoughts on the strength coming off the bench, with substitute Callum O'Dowda netting the 90+10th minute winner at CCS.

“Now we have very good momentum, and I hope we can continue until the end of the season like this.

“You can see from the moment that the new players joined in January, it’s important that we have good players and ensure that the team spirit is good.

"Even if things don’t go so well in the game you can bring on players from the bench who can help a lot.

Finally, Siopis discussed his and fellow countryman Dimitrios Goutas' experience since arriving at the Club, concluding: “We’re enjoying it a lot. Here, the football is different and we both came here wanting to enjoy our football.

“I hope that we can continue like this into next week to take another three points, we’ll see.”
