Shannon Evans returns to the Bluebirds!

The Bluebirds have added a second signing of the summer, with Shannon Evans returning to the Club.

Evans represented City between 2013 and 2018, operating as a dangerous and prolific striker. 

The 27-year-old is now a talented centre-back and adds to Iain Darbyshire's defensive options ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.

The acquisition follows the signing of striker Barry, who joined from Bridgwater United.

After completing her return to the Welsh capital, Shannon said: "I'm really pleased. It's been a while since I've been here, but it feels great to be back. 

"Pre-season has been great so far, the quality has been amazing. The girls and the staff are really nice and everyone has been supportive. We've got a lot to look forward to."

Head coach Iain Darbyshire added: "We're delighted to bring Shannon back to the Club. When she played for us previously, she was one of the best players in the league and has done really well to maintain her standards.

"She has come back to us really focused and dedicated, so I think she's going to have a massive impact on our squad this season. We're happy to have her back at Cardiff City."
