The striker scored the all-important equaliser, turning home from Cian Ashford's low cross.

“Scoring at home is definitely something I’ve thought about,” Yousef began. “I wanted to score at home as quickly as possible and it’s taken me until my third home game to do it. I’m happy I could get the goal today and it also be crucial in getting a point at home, which is the most important part.

“I come in every day wanting to do my best, try and improve and give what I can to the team. I’m training well and I’m getting used to the speed and the tempo of the game. I feel good, and it’s all about staying ready and waiting for the chances to come in games.”

It’s been almost a month since the forward became a Bluebird, and he explained how he’s adapting to life in the Championship and in the capital.

Yousef continued: “In Sweden, I wasn’t used to playing a game every four days, but it’s something I enjoy, and it was a big part in me wanting to come here was to play a lot of games. The training is a little different because we have so many games, I feel like it’s individually specific, which I really enjoy.

“I’m settling in really well too. I’m happy and grateful for everyone in the Club whose given me a warm welcome. The fans in particular have been amazing. They give me a lot of energy and they give me a feeling of wanting to give back to them.”

The striker has now netted three goals since arriving, coming against the Robins, Millwall and Stoke City.

“People say this may be the toughest league in the world,” Yousef concluded. “One thing I’ve seen after a month here is points don’t come for free, certainly not in this league. It’s about trying to capitalise on the mistakes other teams make.

"There’s a tough game every week, sometimes it’s two tough games in a week, but we’re doing a lot of good work and we just have to keep going and improve.”
