City boss Omer Riza spoke to the press ahead of the Severnside derby.
This is the second time the two teams have met this season, following a 1-1 draw away at Ashton Gate earlier this season.
"We're focused on what we need to do," Omer began. "We're happy with the result against Stoke [City] and disappointed with the result against Portsmouth. You can't be disappointed for too long though. The next game is always coming up.
"It's Bristol City. It's an important game. We've lost two in 11 games. But we know need to be better. We have the capability to do well. The boys are up for it. They know how important it is. They'll be up for it as well. But we're at home at the end. We'll take the game to them.
"They've got quite a patient approach. They've got a 3-4-3 and they're structured in their approach. They've got good individual players, who can get at you 1v1. We need to deal with these problems.
"We'll look to hurt them where we can. It'll be a good game."

The City boss will be back on the touchline for this fixture. He added: "I'm really pleased. It was a really difficult three games for me.
"I feel like my leadership on the side of the pitch is a big part of who I am.
"I can't wait to get back down on the touchline."

The boss gave a big squad update ahead of the fixture, adding: "Alex [Robertson] tweaked his hamstring after the Leeds [United] game. He's trained on his own this week. Hopefully he'll be ready for Plymouth [Argyle]. Jesper [Daland] won't be ready for Saturday. He's had eight stitches in his shin. That's healing now and they'll come out in the coming days. The healing process begins then. It's in an awkward position.
"Yakou [Meite] is back. He's trained with the squad fully. He had an issue with his thigh, but he's back in contention now.
"Isaak [Davies] is training but he won't be available. [David] Turnbull started running this week.
"Ollie [Tanner] has got a fracture in his foot. He's been in a boot since he was injured. There are decisions in the next few days now on whether he is ready to come out of the boot and begin rehab. But he'll be a bit of time.
"We have to manage our players correctly. Sometimes they're ill, sometimes we're managing a longer term injury and sometimes they're unable to play following the previous game.
"The games are coming thick and fast. Aaron [Ramsey] also is an important player. He played in the cup and couldn't be involved in the game after. He's trained today and we'll see for the weekend. He'll be available."
