Omer Riza shared his thoughts after City earned a point in the Severnside derby at Ashton Gate.
"The boys played really well." Omer began. "They played with energy and they played with character. We wanted to try and dominate the ball at times, and I feel we've done that in certain instances of the game.
"We’ve got ourselves in front again, and we’re a little bit deflated at the end to not take the three points, because the goal has come from something we've been working on - making sure we clear our lines at the right time, not taking risks and not allowing pressure to be put on us by scoring the opportunities that we get.
"We didn't quite manage that today, but I think overall the performance of the boys was wholehearted. They showed that they care about their performances, about the team. We can only keep improving on that."
Ollie Tanner scored a wonderful opener before the hosts levelled, with Omer keen to keep building on the improvements made in recent matches.
"When it's 0-1, anything can happen. It allows the opposition to apply pressure. When you're winning and you've scored 2 or 3, it's hard for the opposition to get back into the game. That’s something that we need to keep improving on.
"I think everyone can see how committed we are out of possession - we've worked really hard. That’s a prerequisite now of the game - out of possession, how hard are we prepared to work, how hard are we prepared to make it for the opposition?
"I can't question the boys' work rate, work ethic and how they've applied themselves to make sure that the game plan worked. They want to work hard, they want to do well and we'll keep working hard and improving.
"Like I said, we're really deflated because it was in the palm of our hands. But, we’ve taken a point. There's been a massive shift in the way we're performing - I don't think anyone can deny that."
