Rinomhota post-Swindon Town | We're getting a winning mentality instilled

Following City's final fixture of pre-season on Saturday afternoon, Andy Rinomhota spoke to Cardiff City TV to discuss the result.

With the Bluebirds defeating Swindon Town 4-2 away from home, the midfielder contributed to the scoreline with a goal in the first half.

“We’re happy to have scored the four goals," Andy began. "Obviously we’re a bit disappointed with the two we conceded, which we’ll look to cut out as we get ready for Saturday.

“Overall it was a good result, even in pre-season, but we’re getting the right mentality instilled, and that was a positive performance."

Discussing his experience of pre-season since joining the Club earlier in the summer, the midfielder continued:

“It’s been a good pre-season to put all the pieces together, with people coming in a bit later than others." Rinomhota explained. "It looks like it’s coming together nicely, though there’s still some more work to do.

“On a whole so far it’s been good. The Gaffer has asked us to have that fluidity and for no one to be stuck to just one position.

“I think the three of us in midfield can play those different roles, and it’s been free-flowing. Everyone knows their role in each position, and it worked quite well today.”
