Tom Ramasut spoke to the press following the Bluebirds' 3-0 win over rivals Swansea City.
Two goals from Callum Robinson and a header by Dimitrios Goutas sealed three points for City in the South Wales derby.
“We’ve built a real togetherness and resilience in the squad.” Tom began. “I think we’ve seen that over the last six games now unbeaten.
“There are players here who’ve played many derbies now, and they understand what it means for the Club, the fans and the whole city; I think we saw that today.
“We had a gameplan going into it. It was pretty cagey at the start; in the first 20 minutes we probably gave them a bit too much time on the ball, and we made a few tweaks to our defensive shape that allowed us to get a little bit more pressure onto them.
“There was real momentum there and a real belief going into the second half, knowing they just had to keep building on what they had done in the game up to that point. And again, a little bit like the last previous five or six games, if you show that sort of fight and that togetherness, we've got plenty of quality in the dressing room then to go and win games.”
With Callum Robinson scoring a brace, taking his tally to ten for the season, Ramasut shared his thoughts on the attacker’s quality.
“He's our talisman at the minute. We see it in training every day, his finishing is top draw. Whether they're tight touches and finishes, or whether it's first time, he's got everything in the locker.
“There's plenty of quality in that dressing room to go and put the icing on the cake and finish teams off to score the goals, like you saw from Callum Robinson and Dimi [Goutas] today.”
Ramasut concluded with a reflection on what has been an emotional week for City boss, Omer Riza.
“It's been an extremely, extremely difficult week.” Ramasut reflected. “I think what's been such a warming feeling is the support that he's had from the players, all the staff and the togetherness that we've shown. I'm sure he has taken a lot of comfort from that.”
