The Bluebirds moved to seven games unbeaten with a 3-0 home victory over QPR on Wednesday evening.
City boss Neil Warnock spoke of his delight at overcoming a strong and in-form Rangers side.
“They’re a good side,” Warnock began. “We had to be well organised and disciplined to get three points this evening - and we were.
“We knew they’d have a lot of possession, but we had plenty of chances at goal.
“It was lovely to see one of our set piece moves come off. We could’ve even scored a few more.
“I’m delighted. We’ve overcome another obstacle.
“We’re getting better - and I feel we can still go quite a way yet.”
The possession stats favoured the away side, but it was a comprehensive, and clinical victory for the Bluebirds.
“How many shots did we have? How many saves did they have to make?
“Fans want to see moments. There were plenty of them tonight. My teams aren’t ever going to keep the ball at the back for the sake of it.
“Our movement has been better and we’ve created opportunities.
“With the players we’ve got we should score more goals.”
