Ahead of Cardiff City Women's clash against Swansea City on Wednesday evening, we caught up with defender Hannah Power.
The Bluebirds are currently eight points clear at the top of the table and would secure the title with a victory.
"We’re all really looking forward to the game against Swansea," Hannah began. "Everyone is feeling focused and ready to go. It’s such an important game for us for many reasons. It’s a game that can decide the fate of our season and it’s a South Wales derby. They don’t come much bigger than that.
"It would be phenomenal to get a result and become back-to-back champions. That’s something we have never achieved in the league, so it would be a massive moment for us and the Club to clinch that. We know it cannot be achieved unless we all stay focused on the task at hand and take care of business on the pitch."
City have enjoyed a positive start to Phase Two, having recorded two wins over Aberystwyth Town, as well as a 6-1 victory over Wrexham.
Hannah continued: "The momentum from our wins in Phase Two has definitely had a positive influence on our squad and we are all confident in our team;s ability to go out there and play whoever is in front of us and get a positive result, but that doesn’t mean we underestimate anybody either.
"I’m really pleased with how my season's gone personally. I feel like I’m constantly learning and growing as a player with the coaches and my team mates' support. That has really impacted me positively this season.
"It’s always a honour to wear this badge and call myself a Cardiff City player. I’m always grateful every time I get to step out onto the pitch representing the Club and I’m lucky enough that I get to do it alongside a great bunch of players."
A huge positive for the Bluebirds this season has been the consistent support from fans at Cardiff International Sports Campus and in away fixtures.
"The fans have been unreal this season," Hannah added. "Their support never goes unnoticed. We appreciate every single one of them for their messages of support before a game, their support at our home games and staying around after our game for pictures or for a chat and to the ones that travel to our away games no matter how far it is.
"We are grateful for all of them and we can’t thank them enough. I hope they know how much they help us every game just knowing they’re on the sidelines supporting us means everything.
"The support from the fans tomorrow will be massively important. They keep us going and motivate us and nothing beats hearing their loud support from the sidelines. We can’t wait to see them there."
