Wing-back Ffion Price, who played an integral role in last season's treble victory, added: "We gained invaluable experience in the Champions League. We played against top quality opposition and we were able to compete for large amounts of the game. We bonded so well on and off the pitch, which will be a real asset to us during the season. The Champions league has provided us with the opportunity to gel and put things into practice at the highest level. We are looking forward to taking that positive momentum into the season.

Turning her attention to this Sunday's fixture, she added: "We are all raring to go and can’t wait to get started. We are looking forward to building upon last season and hopefully, retaining all three trophies. We know it will be a challenging season as competition is high, but we are ready and excited to kick off the season.

"Wrexham have a lot of quality and we are expecting a tough game. We have been working hard and have prepared well in training. All the girls are looking forward to kicking off the season and the challenge that this Sunday will bring."

OPPOSITION FOCUS

This campaign will be Wrexham's second season since returning to the top-flight of Welsh domestic football.

In the 2023/24 season, the side claimed a respectable third-place finish, amassing 35 points from 20 fixtures.

Wrexham are managed by Steve Dale, who was shortlisted for the Adran Premier Manager of the Season at the end of the last campaign.

In the same awards evening, playmaker Lili Jones was named Young Player of the Season after adapting to life in the top-flight well.

However, striker Rosie Hughes is their key player, having netted 15 league goals last term.

In the meetings between the two sides last season, the Bluebirds claimed four league wins, coming in the form of 3-0, 3-0, 6-1 and 5-1 results.
