PRE-MATCH | IAIN DARBYSHIRE
Ahead of the clash, head coach Iain Darbyshire said: "Part of the reason we've been so successful in the past few years is that we’ve had competition in every single position and the players don't get complacent. They know they have to perform every single week, otherwise the people who are on the bench and around the squad are pushing the starting players. I think it's key, it's what keeps us healthy, it’s what keeps us competitive and ensures the training levels are high.
"Over my time at the Club, we’ve performed well in the big games, which gives us huge confidence. We've proven time and time again that we can step up to the occasion. The New Saints have done really well this year and they're riding that wave of success at the moment, but it's up to us to go there and put in a performance that deserves three points. I think that's our challenge, credit to them and what they've done this year and they'll be coming into the game full of confidence, but for us, it's about doing the right thing in the right way, ensuring that everyone contributes through the game and executes the game plan and if we do that, we’ll have a good chance of coming away with a positive result.
"The next few games before beginning Phase Two are massive. We have three league games before we finish Phase One and we’re aiming to get maximum points in all of them. I think that's how competitive the league is this year, with other teams proving that they can beat each other. We know we can't rely on that, we have got to focus on ourselves and know if we pick up 12 points from four games, we'll be in a good position to top the table going into Phase Two. That's exactly what we're looking to do."
