Iain Darbyshire
PRE-MATCH | IAIN DARBYSHIRE

Ahead of the fixture, head coach Iain Darbyshire said: “We're looking forward to the test this weekend against Briton Ferry. We know they have got a lot of experienced and physical players with a lot of footballing IQ.

"I tipped them to get into the top four at the start of the season and they have started really well so it’s no surprise to us. They’re a really well coached team, so we’re looking forward to a different type of test this weekend.

"We’re looking to bounce back from the disappointment of last weekend, but we know we’re a much better team than what we showed at times and we know that we are capable of beating anyone on our day. That’s exactly what we’re looking to do.”

Laura Curnock
PRE-MATCH | LAURA CURNOCK

Summer recruit, Laura Curnock, added: "We definitely want to bounce back from last weekend and we've had a really positive week in training. We know things are going to be tough, because Briton Ferry are strong opposition. They have eyes on them after a good start to the season and we're expecting a physical test.

"We won't shy away from that physical battle. I enjoy those kind of games. You want to come off the field like you've been in a battle with the opposition player and that's what I'm expecting on Sunday.

"As a squad, we get on so well, it's just a few minor tweaks that we need to make on the pitch because we're still getting used to each other and how we all play. I really believe that as a squad, we've only scratched the surface of our potential so far and every one of us can feel that."

Briton Ferry Llansawel
OPPOSITION FOCUS

The visitors come into the clash top of the league on goal difference after an unbeaten start to the Adran Premier season. After defeaing Aberystwyth Town 4-0 on the opening weekend, they backed it up with emphatic 3-0 and 5-0 wins against Wrexham and Cardiff Met respectively.

Last time out, they claimed a 1-1 draw away to The New Saints, which saw goalkeeper Courtney Young sent off after 60 minutes and without a backup goalkeeper on the bench, manager Rhys James opted to give centre-back Olivia Kett-White, making her Adran Premier debut, the gloves for the final half hour. Alison Witts gave them the lead after 33 minutes which was cancelled out through Molly Harvard

A familiar face in Tija Richardson returns to face her former side after leaving the Bluebirds in the summer. Tija departed after making 17 appearances in the treble winning campaign of last season and has so far started every game for Briton Ferry, scoring in the game against Wrexham.
