PRE-MATCH | IAIN DARBYSHIRE
Ahead of the contest, head coach Iain Darbyshire said: "We've won this competition three years on the bounce, we have been very successful in it and we want that to continue this season. We know that this is a big period for us going into the end of Phase One and into the start of Phase Two, so this game has a high priority for us to keep our momentum going.
"Barry will close the spaces and try to avoid letting us play. They will look to be organised and hit us on the counter-attack with some dangerous attacking players that they've got. It's up to us to break them down. The last time we played them in the league, the scoreline was close, but we controlled the game well. We'll look to be more clinical on Sunday than we have been previously and it's an opportunity to execute that this weekend.
"We know after Christmas, you really have to start turning on the burners if you want to win trophies. That's what we're trying to do, we've been successful in our results in January and the part of February that we've played in already. We don't want that to change and we want to take that into March and April. We just have to keep winning games and if we do that, we have a good chance of being successful again this year."

PRE-MATCH | NIEVE JENKINS
Nieve Jenkins, who has recently been thriving as a defensive midfielder for City, added: "The squad is incredibly determined to continue our success in the Bute Energy Welsh Cup. The Club has built a strong foundation over the years and we’re all highly motivated to maintain that winning mentality. Our focus is on continuing to work hard as a team, pushing each other to improve, and making sure that we remain competitive at the highest level in order to reach the Semi-Final.
"I expect Barry Town to provide a strong challenge. They've strengthened their squad this season and added some talented players. We can expect they will try and play counter-attacking football so it’s up to everyone in the squad to remain focused and not underestimate them. It’s going to be a competitive game, but one we feel we can dominate possession in.
"I’ve really enjoyed the challenge of playing as a defensive midfielder. It’s a different role from centre-back, but I like the added responsibility of controlling the tempo and being more involved in the build-up play. It’s been great to showcase my ability on the ball and helping link the defence with the attack. While I’m always ready to play wherever the team needs me, I’ve found this role to be a rewarding experience and one that allows me to contribute in new ways.
"It definitely feels like the squad is building momentum. Those big wins over The New Saints and Swansea have given us a lot of confidence, and you can sense the energy in training. We’re finding our rhythm and everyone is pushing each other to keep our winning run going. Momentum is so important in football, so we just need to stay focused and keep building on it."
