“I'm looking forward to being back in league action this weekend against Cardiff Met. We know we’re going to have to play well to win the game and we’ll have to put in a good performance to continue the winning streak we are on at the moment.

"The last few weeks have been positive and we are building momentum. We want to continue that and maintain a high standard to not only our results, but also our performances."

Wing-back Lisa Owen added: “Morale is really high in the squad at the moment. We know we’re not playing at our best, but we’re still getting results and are on a bit of a winning streak. We’ve got a long way to go, but in our last league game against Barry, we showed what we’re capable of.

"Everyone that’s come up from the U19s have done really well and shown that they can compete and they’re ready for the next step. They’re helping push us further along and I’m impressed how well some of them have done.

“It was an amazing feeling captaining the side against Cascade, I’ve been playing for Cardiff City for a long time, so it was a great experience and I was really grateful for the opportunity.

"You can't underestimate any team in this league. It’s been very competitive this year, so we won’t underestimate Cardiff Met and we expect a good game."
