PRE-MATCH | IAIN DARBYSHIRE
Ahead of the clash, head coach Iain Darbyshire said: “We’re really excited to be back playing against Barry on Thursday. We had one game over Christmas and since then, we've had a couple of weeks of cancellations so we're excited, we're fresh and we're ready. The girls are looking forward to and you can see that excitement in the way they're training. I think it'll be a good test on Thursday followed by a big challenge again on Sunday against The New Saints.
“Barry have got some really good players, they're in a good position in the table and they have got a good amount of pace about them. They look to play the game the right way, so it's on us to make sure that we control possession, and we are physical out of possession, which I think is key. Then, when we get into that final third, it’s a question of whether we be clinical and take our moments. It's something that we've been working on and I think it’s an area we need to improve on going forward."
PRE-MATCH | LISA OWEN
Wing-back Lisa Owen, who is enjoying a stellar campaign for the Bluebirds, added: “We have all definitely missed playing and are raring to get back out there. We have been working hard over the past few weeks and are all fresh and ready for Thursday. It’s been great to have players back in who have been missing, which adds a lot of depth to our squad and adds that competition for starting positions, which will push us all to be better.
“Barry have done well this season with some of the results they have had. You can never underestimate anyone in this league with how competitive it has been. We are expecting a good game on Thursday and look forward to a strong challenge to prepare us for the rest of Phase One.”
OPPOSITION FOCUS | BARRY TOWN UNITED
Our opponents on Thursday head into the contest currently sitting fourth in the table.
From their 12 league matches so far this campaign, the Linnets have recorded four wins, five draws and three defeats.
The side have played two fixtures this calendar year, claiming a 1-1 draw against Aberystwyth Town and a 3-2 victory over Cardiff Met last time out.

In our last clash with the Linnets, City claimed a 3-0 win, with goals for Collie and Barry, as well as an early own-goal.
