Pre-Match | Iain Darbyshire
Ahead of the fixture, head coach Iain Darbyshire said: "I'm really looking forward to being back in league action against Aberystwyth. It’s always a really tough test when we go up there and they’re always good hosts.
"They played really well last time out against Cardiff Met, so it’s going to be a difficult challenge, but it’s one we’re excited for."
Pre-Match | MegAN Bowen
City defender Megan Bowen added: "It'll be a physical game like it always is against Aberystwyth. They’ve had a difficult start to the season, but there's no way we're going to underestimate them.
"We're going to go into it with the same winning mentality that we've had through the whole of the season, which has got us through some of the recent games.
"We've really gelled in training, which has been really positive in the week and hopefully now it will push us on for Sunday."
Opposition Focus | Aberystwyth Town Women
Aberystwyth ran out 8-0 winners in the Bute Energy Welsh Cup last weekend against CPD Y Rhyl Women. Goals from Libby Issac, Imogen Scourfield, Lily Moralee-Hughes, Shauna Chambers and a brace from each of Hannah Davies and substitute Lleucu Mathias ensured their name is in the hat for the next round.
The hosts picked up their first point of the Adran Premier season in their last fixture, in a goalless draw against Cardiff Met. The result sees them remain eighth in the table, with a record of one draw and four losses.
