Pre-Aberystwyth Town | Ceryn Chamberlain
Ahead of our Adran Trophy Semi-Final against Aberystwyth Town, we caught up with goalkeeper Ceryn Chamberlain.
The City shot stopper is having another stellar season, contributing to the best defensive record in the Adran Premier.
This Sunday's fixture will be the first since the end of Phase One, with no fixture last weekend.
"When you have a break, you always just want to get straight back into it and go again," Ceryn began. "We want to build momentum and get some good results in ahead of an important time in the season.
"I think we needed that break just to regroup. We needed a little bit of a rest so that we can push on in the second half of the season."
Aberystwyth Town have reached the last four of the Adran Trophy with wins over Connah's Quay Nomads and Felinheli.
In the meetings between the two sides this season, City were held to a goalless draw at Cardiff International Sports Campus, before claiming a 5-0 win at Park Avenue.
Ceryn continued: "Aberystwyth always give us a good game. We have to be switched on and ready for it. It's a cup game, so if we can get some early goals, that will help us in the game.
"We have to be prepared and ready for the challenge. It's really important to get that first win since the break. That'll mean that we'll progress in the Adran Trophy, but it will give us that momentum going forward. Every win gives you a boost to get a win in the next game as well.
"In the second half of the season, we want to get as many points as possible, so hopefully, a win on the weekend will help us to progress through the season."
The Bluebirds have reached the Final of the Adran Trophy in both of the last two campaigns.
After suffering defeat to Cardiff Met at the final hurdle twice, City are aiming to go one better this season.
"As a squad, our aim is to win everything," Ceryn added. "We're going to try our best to win every competition that we're in, that's going to be our goal. It's just about ticking off every game as it comes and hopefully, we can get positive results.
"We know what it's about, we've played in Semi-Finals and Finals. That takes that pressure off when you've played in those big games before, but every game is different and we're going into it with the mentality of putting a good performance in on the day."
