Callum O'Dowda spoke to Cardiff City TV after Saturday's dramatic victory over Norwich City.
“Last season I had a similar feeling, but honestly it just gets better and better,” O’Dowda began. “In front of the Canton Stand, I couldn’t make it up, I think it just shows where we have come from since the start of the season.
“First half they were causing us a lot of problems, but we came out in the second half and knew we were still in the game. I’m really delighted for the boys - it’s been some journey up to this point.”
The Bluebirds are now unbeaten in six games and have won their last four home games.
“A lot of it is confidence, getting that togetherness. The lads have really bought into Riz's style and football philosophy.
“In this system, players flourish in those positions, if you look at the profile of Chris Willock, Callum Robinson, the types of players who like to find pockets, Anwar [El Ghazi] who’s very direct, and Rubin [Colwill] - I’m probably his biggest fan of what he can be.
"I think the the lads are doing great and I think they have really responded to it. So long may it continue."
Next up is a midweek clash against Luton Town away from home, which Callum sees as an opportunity to continue the good run of form.
“It would be great if we can continue on as we're going and the ideas are great. It's consistency; we need to stay consistent, but we’ll enjoy the win today and we have got another game on Wednesday away to Luton.
“They’re always tough. Obviously they’ve struggled a little bit recently from coming down to the Championship from the Premier League, so they obviously have the profile of players who have played in the top division, but I think the mindset has got to be the same.”
