Ahead of this weekend’s trip to Vicarage Road, Perry Ng spoke to the press at CCS.
Following a short break from competitive action after a busy period at the start of the year, the defender began by sharing his thoughts on the side's return to playing in the Sky Bet Championship.
“The Christmas period is really tough," Perry began. "You get loads of little niggles and tiredness, so with a few days off it’s been nice. It will be like a new start, really.
“The manager has been emphasising that in training as well, and we’ve had a few new faces in which is good, and it does feel like a full reset.
“There are 18 games left, so it will be an important end to the season. I’m excited to see where we can get, hopefully we can get back to where we were earlier in the season with our performances and get a few wins under our belt.
"We’re six points off the Play-Off spots, and with new signings and a few days off to recover we’ll look to get three points on Saturday and see where we end up."
Looking ahead to this weekend's match against the Hornets, Perry addressed the challenge that City anticipate at Vicarage Road.
“As a team we need to get back to winning ways and good performances," Ng continued. "But we’re working hard towards that.
“It’s tough when you’re in a busy period and maybe we haven’t dealt with some of that pressure as well as we’d like to, but we are heading in the right direction.
“It’ll be a tough game, it’s always tough going to their place and in recent years they’ve had some really good individuals, and this year they’ve got a really strong team.
“We’ll work on them this week and hopefully go in organised and get the three points. It’s important that we get some momentum behind us going into this run of fixtures, beginning by looking to do that on Saturday.”
