City defender Perry Ng spoke to Cardiff City TV on Friday ahead of the Bluebirds’ final Championship fixture prior to the November international break.

City host John Eustace’s Blackburn Rovers in tomorrow’s 12.30pm kick-off at Cardiff City Stadium, aiming for a fifth straight home victory under interim boss, Omer Riza.

“We’ve got a good opportunity to bounce back from [the defeat at] Luton and get the ground bouncing again like it has been in the past few weeks,” Perry began. “Hopefully we can get three more points before the international break.

“We had recovery work to do at home yesterday and then back into today for some training and ice baths. It’s now a case of resting up to be ready for tomorrow.”

A week has passed since the late theatre of City’s most recent home fixture: the 2-1 victory over Norwich City.

Ng missed out on that one through suspension, and admitted he found sitting on the sidelines difficult whilst the drama on the pitch unfolded.

“The [finish] to the game was class,” Perry reflected. “I feel more pressure when I’m not playing to be honest, but it was boss; me, Rallsy and [Alex] Robbo were behind the bench celebrating and we felt like proper fans in the moment! It was a nice experience, but it’ll be even nicer being back on the pitch tomorrow hopefully.

“I think when the fans really got behind us in the second half, Norwich bottled it a little bit. The atmosphere caused that. It was maybe a bit quiet in the first half, but our fans have been brilliant the past few weeks.”

Blackburn come into the game with only one win in their last seven fixtures, that coming in a 1-0 home defeat of Swansea City, mid-October.

That said, the Ewood Park side sit tenth in the Championship table, only three points outside the Play-Off places, indicative of their good early season form and the quality within their ranks.

“They’re a good young team that plays attacking football,” Perry continued. “I think they are similar to us to be fair and it’ll be a good game. If we can stop their threats and impose ours then hopefully we can take the three points. We’re all looking forward to it.

“Our home games last year weren’t that exciting, maybe a bit slow, but I think these last four games have been brilliant. Hopefully that’ll bring the fans out again tomorrow and we can score some goals.

“Since Riz has come in it’s been brilliant, and probably the most I’ve enjoyed my football since I’ve been with the club. We’re a really attacking side with young lads all working hard and enjoying what we’re doing on the pitch.”
