Ng post-Rotherham United | Another good win
Perry Ng spoke to the media after scoring in Cardiff City’s 2-0 victory against Rotherham United.
“It’s important we carry this momentum on." the defender began. "Today was always going to be a tough game against a solid team who are going to sit back, and we did well in the end. We started off a bit slowly, but did enough in the end and it's another good win.
“We’ve just got to keep working hard and not look at the table too much. We just need to keep winning games and see where we end up at the end of the season."
Today’s victory means the Bluebirds have extended their winning league run to four matches, and Perry was asked what the difference has been in comparison to last season.
“Last year was horrible. I think this year we have more structure and we know what we’re doing with and without the ball, which is very, very important. We are more organised this year, which goes a long way, and we’ve signed quality players.
“You can see that the Club has gone in the right direction from top to bottom, from the new Academy to some of the lads signing new deals. All of that makes a massive difference."
Perry became City's eleventh different scorer of the season with his late strike, and discussed the spread of goals throughout the team this term.
“In recent seasons we’ve relied on strikers or wingers too much, and at set pieces we look a big threat, which is good.
“I didn’t realise it went in for a few seconds, so the celebration was a bit mad. I don’t score many, so I have to make the most of it!
