Méïté post-Bristol City | I'm getting sharper
Yakou Méïté spoke to Cardiff City TV after the Bluebirds’ 2-0 victory over Bristol City on Saturday afternoon.
City’s no.22 started in a front three with Josh Bowler and Karlan Grant, operating both on the right and as a striker.
“I was playing mostly on the right last season, but I know that I can play up front as well,” Yakou began. “I’m trying to do my best for the team, that’s what I’m doing every game.
“I’m getting sharper and sharper, so I think I’m putting in much better performances at the moment. I’m happy with my performance and the team.
“It was a very hard game. We know against every team in the Championship, it’s hard to win. We did it at home in front of our fans, so everyone is happy. We just want to keep going.”
City made it back-to-back victories, following an impressive 4-0 win at Huddersfield Town in midweek.
Erol Bulut’s side next fixture is away at Stoke City on November 4th, with the Bluebirds now fifth in the Sky Bet Championship table.
“When you win away from home, if you can win at home as well and get six points, that’s what we did, it’s really good. That win at Huddersfield was really good and we won today, so six points in a few days, that’s perfect.
“Especially for me, because I’ve been injured, I will have time to rest. It’s going to be difficult at Stoke City, but we don’t fear any team. Every game is different, and hopefully we can go and get a result there."
