Retro Shirt Day 2025 graphic
RETRO SHIRT DAY

This weekend, we’re encouraging all Bluebirds to wear their favourite Cardiff City shirt from our 125 year history!

As part of Green Football’s Great Save this week, we’ve been discussing the importance of re-using your old kits. Donating your kits that no longer fit can be a big help to the environment, and with Kit Aid, make a difference to the lives of others.

However, we understand there are some particular kits, your personal favourites, that you'll never be able to part with. Well, this Saturday at our match with Sheffield Wednesday, we want to see them. Our fan photographers will be on hand to capture the Bluebirds in all their retro shirt glory!

Our stadium staff got involved in this campaign, and showed off some of their treasured old Bluebirds shirts while completing their duties.

Lost Youth
CANTON STAND STAGE

If you're in the Canton Stand before kick-off, head to the stage to watch Dan the Human Jukebox.

Dan is a part of a band called Lost Youth, who have been through multiple line ups but was formed by the drummer and bass player who are still in the band!

They are a four-piece old school punk band playing the sort of music that still appeals to old and new fans such as The Jam, The Clash, The Damned, Stiff Little Fingers, The Buzzcocks and The Ruts along with the odd modern tune such as Idles.

As a solo artist, Dan will perform a mix of 70's punk, 80's and 90's indie. A City fan for almost 50 years, he says he can't wait to be back playing at CCS!

Anti Discrimination
TOGETHER AGAINST DISCRIMINATION

Football is for everyone. We might support different teams, but football unites and inspires us.

It is a game with many opinions. But there is one on which we should all agree.

Racism and discrimination is not welcome in our game. So if you hear it, report it - whether in the street, at Cardiff City Stadium or online.

And when you see players taking the knee ahead of the game as a simple and peaceful act of protest this season, please respect their choice.

Because we are all Together Against Discrimination.
