Cardiff City made it back-to-back wins in pre-season with a 7-1 victory over Penybont at Cardiff International Sports Campus. 

A Callum Robinson brace and a goal from Callum O'Dowda saw the Bluebirds lead 3-0 at the break. 

Raheem Conte and Kieron Evans added to the scoreline quickly after the interval, before Bont striker Chris Venables pulled one back for the away side. Joel Colwill and Cian Ashford then found the net late-on.

It took just seven minutes for the Bluebirds to get off the mark, with O’Dowda drawing several Penybont players near him, but managed to get the ball to the feet of Robinson, who struck home from the edge of the area. 

Kion Etete almost made it two after being found in the box by Ronan Kpakio, delivering a low cross to the feet of City's no.9. It wasn’t long before the second was added thanks to some fantastic play from Kpakio, beating the defender and finding Robinson to fire home. 

The right-back was involved again, linking up well with Evans, and this time Kpakio found O’Dowda, who tapped home from close-range.

City started the second half in similar fashion, with Robinson coming close to his hat-trick, but was denied thanks to a good save from Adam Przybek. It was substitute Conte who added the fourth, finishing well after a well-worked one-two with David Turnbull, and striking the ball into the bottom corner. 

Evans added the fifth for the Bluebirds after being picked out in the box by Ollie Tanner, hitting it first time into the bottom corner. Penybont pulled one back in the 79th minute from a set-piece on the right-hand side.

City reacted well, as Joel Colwill and Ashford both clinically finished their chances in the box, drilling home low past from the keeper, rounding off a clinical performance from the Bluebirds.
