Peter Whittingham gives Cardiff City the lead against Preston North End
CITY FLASHBACK | WHITTS’ WINNER AT DEEPDALE

The Bluebirds travelled to Deepdale in April 2011 in fine form, having been unbeaten in the previous seven fixtures.

City continued their positive run with a 1-0 away win, as the winning goal came courtesy of Peter Whittingham.

Midfielder Stephen McPhail found Whittingham with a great ball, who picked out Craig Bellamy in the box.

With Whittingham breaking into the box, the City no.7 was unmarked and netted a memorable goal to claim all three points at Deepdale.
