OPPOSITION FOCUS | IN THE DUGOUT
Portsmouth’s manager is John Mousinho, who has been in the role since January 2023.
During his playing career he represented the likes of Oxford United, Burton Albion, Stevenage and Brentford, accumulating a total of 549 appearances at the various clubs.
Portsmouth is the 38-year old’s first club in management, but he has impressed since stepping into coaching, taking over Pompey when they were positioned in 15th place and leading them to an eighth-place finish in his first season in charge.
The following season his side were crowned champions of League One to earn promotion to the Championship.
Mousinho has a win percentage of 44.95%, winning 49 games, drawing 31 and losing 29.

OPPOSITION FOCUS | SEASON SO FAR
Our hosts head into the contest sat 20th in the Sky Bet Championship. Pompey have struggled in recent weeks, having not picked up a win in four games.
It is their home form that has given them hope in the Championship this season though. 23 of their 30 points have come at Fratton Park, with just four home defeats in the league this season.
Their last win came against Stoke City in January, when they defeated their counterparts 3-1 at home.
Last time out Mousinho’s side suffered a 2-1 defeat at Sheffield United. Goals from Gustavo Hamer and Jesuran Rak-Sakyi proved too much for Pompey on Saturday afternoon.

OPPOSITION FOCUS | KEY PLAYER
Portsmouth’s main man this season has been Callum Lang.
Lang was picked up in January last year, to help Pompey’s promotion charge in League One, and he went on to score four times in 12 appearances in the second half of last season.
The forward has continued his fine form this campaign netting ten times in 27 games, including an impressive display earlier this season against Coventry City, when the striker netted four times in 55 minutes.

CLUB CONNECTIONS | BLUEBIRDS & POMPEY
Tuesday evening could see City line up against two former Bluebirds.
Pompey’s skipper Marlon Pack made over 100 appearances in the Welsh capital, before returning to boyhood club Portsmouth in 2022. The midfielder was a key part of Pompey’s promotion team last season making 38 appearances and being appointed as club captain.
Another former Bluebird who could line-up for Portsmouth this Tuesday is Josh Murphy.
The winger spent time as a Bluebird between 2018 and 2022, making 99 appearances. Murphy played a key role in Oxford United's promotion last season before making the move to Pompey in the summer.
